Lake Cypress Springs, rated “Most Beautiful Lake” in Texas by D Magazine, is widely acclaimed as home to some of the most luxurious waterfront homes anywhere. Located about 110 miles Northeast of Dallas, Lake Cypress Springs is lovingly referred to by visitors and locals alike, as “The Hamptons of East Texas.” Boasting 3,461 acres of sparkling spring-fed water, on most days the water is so clear you can almost see to the bottom, as noted by the onlyinyourstate.com article, 14 Gorgeous Lakes to Visit in Texas this Summer.
Surrounded by rolling hills and gorgeous pine, oak, and hardwood trees, there isn’t any wonder Lake Cypress Springs is the lake of choice for families, empty-nesters, retirees, weekenders, and anyone just looking to lead the simple life that comes with owning a lake home in the lazy, laid back, little East Texas town of Mt. Vernon. Josh Moody, who was recently ranked among the top 200 mortgage originators nationwide by Mortgage Executive magazine, stated, “Not only was my choice to buy a waterfront home on Lake Cypress Springs a monetary investment, it was also an investment of my time. With young children and a family, I know time can get away from you. Days turn into weeks, weeks turn into years, and before you know it, your children are grown. And with the hustle of my career and life in the city, I want to make the best use of time for my family. Our weekend home on the lake has been a way for us to get away, unwind, unplug, and just enjoy one another. From tubing or fishing with the kids to just sitting on our back deck enjoying the view, there’s a simplicity to life we’ve found as Lake Cypress Springs homeowners that I’ve never experienced anywhere else.”
An extremely popular recreational destination, Lake Cypress Springs is home to six public parks, four public boat launches, the Northeast Texas famed 4th of July Fireworks Show, and the popular hangout, “The Marina,” complete with automated fuel pumps, food and alcohol sales, and often home to live music and local bands.
