Rich in history, Lake Bob Sandlin and surrounding areas were native to the prehistoric Caddoan people, who occupied East Texas from 200 B.C. to 1700 A.D. It has also been home to the Kickapoo, Choctaw, and Cherokee tribes. This history can still be seen throughout the area. With 75 miles of shoreline, filled with varieties of oak, pine, dogwood, redbud, and maple… Lake Bob Sandlin is literally where the Piney Woods and Blackland Prairie Eco-regions come together to create an area known as the Post Oak Savannah region. Lake Bob Sandlin State Park
Lake Bob Sandlin State Park offers swimming, fishing, paddle boating, picnicking, hiking, camping, geocaching, biking, and even Junior Ranger Programs. With over 75 campsites (some primitive tent camping, others with water and electricity, cabins, or screened shelters) there are plenty of places to stay and enjoy the lake. The park also boasts a boat ramp, lighted fishing pier, 3.3 miles of wooded trails, picnic pavilions, a gift shop, playground areas, and Ranger-led hikes and tours. The state park is also widely known for its Halloween Boo Camp where campers decorate their campsites and hand out candy to hundreds of tiny trick-or-treaters. Also sponsored by the park, is its annual Christmas in the Park event. Festive decorations and lights surround the 640-acre park and visitors come from far and wide to partake in the holiday festivities.

Barefoot Bay Marina and RV Resort
Barefoot Bay Marina and RV Resort, located on the South shore of Lake Bob Sandlin is a family-friendly waterfront area nestled on 20 acres of woods and gorgeous Lake Bob Sandlin shoreline. Public Ramp 1 - Titus County
The Public Ramp 1 – Titus County Freshwater Supply District is located Northwest of the dam, adjacent to the Titus County Freshwater Supply District office. From Texas 271 South of Mt. Pleasant and North of Pittsburg, turn West on FM 3417. Turn South on SW 37th St, take the first right, then turn right again to the ramp. Public Ramp 1 is a concrete boat ramp that is open all year and no fee is required for use. There are also picnic areas, camping, restrooms, and ample parking available in the area.

Highway 21 South Public Boat Ramp - Camp County
Highway 21 South Public Boat Ramp is located on the South shore at mid-lake. Go West from Pittsburg to Texas 21, go North 3.6 miles and turn left to the ramp before the bridge. The ramp is unimproved but is free to use.

Hwy 21 Bridge North (Boat Ramp at Lake Bob Sandlin) is located on the north shore at mid-lake. Go West from Pittsburg to Texas 21 and turn North. Cross the bridge and look for the ramp on the left. The ramp is unimproved but is free to use.
